We woke up in Smelterville, Idaho at the Walmart there. We went in for some quick supplies- the usual yogurt, water, ice, and fruit. We also picked up a small ceramic heater, since we were headed back to Norris.
We pulled out to go find coffee, and hot water for the dogs. We didn’t have to go far! There’s a tiny little coffee place, right there…
There was a parking area right next door, with a nice field for the dogs to run around in. And the coffee lady kindly gave us the hot water we needed to make their food!
On the road, the dogs eat Honest Kitchen dehydrated food. It’s super easy to pack and carry, and just needs hot water to make up. When we aren’t set up, and have the stove to heat water, we just get a cup of hot (tea) water wherever we get coffee or stop for gas. It makes their food a little hot, and needs to be cut with some cold water or it takes forever to cool.
We made it back to Norris Hot Springs a little after 4pm. Perfect timing!!
