This Year’s Goals – 7 of 12

So I made a list of things I’d like to do or get done this year. I’m determined to not be doing all of them in December of this year… But instead spread them out over the year.

So I missed a month… I’ve been trying so hard to just keep up, I decided some things could wait till I had time to think. The past 2 months have seen a lot of allergy flares, which besides being annoying and uncomfortable, also leaving me wiped out since my body’s using all it’s resources to freak out about some allergen… So I kept up with the important stuff!

1. Paint at least 2 rooms this year.

I do believe I have picked out almost all of my colors! Whoa! I’m preparing to start coloring soon…. 🙂

2. Start doing yoga regularly.

I made it to yoga with my friend!  Only once, and then allergies got crazy, so I haven’t gone again yet. But it was a lot of fun, and I will totally go again soon!

3. Write 1 letter of encouragement every month.

Owe 7 now…

4. Make sushi at home.

No sushi at home this month.

5. Organize my closet- lose the things I don’t wear, get new things I can and will wear.

A couple more things removed this month…

The big excitement of recent is when I suddenly started reacting quite severely to all my bras. All of which have underwires… So there began a frantic search to find nickel free ones, and get them shipped to me.

So while I wasn’t planning to add anything this month… There was a change of plans! I’ve been very happy with my Rosa Faia bras by Anita. I’ve been wearing them exclusively for almost a month and my skin is almost healed and back to normal! I still have some bumps on my back where the hooks were, but they are fading finally.

6. Make time for fun/hobbies. Find new ones I like.

We went camping! It was the first time out to our favorite spot with the camper…. It was a little wet and damp for part. But the view is never bad… 😉

And we hung our hammocks in our great room. I’ve found it to be an outstanding place to use for everything. The location is great. I have a delightful woven hammock, and it breathes better than a chair, so my skin is always happy!!

So I made a list of things I’d like to do or get done this year. I’m determined to not be doing all of them in December of this year… But instead spread them out over the year.

I had some time off this month which was really nice! I got to spend lots of time catching my breath. I had hoped that’d translate into blog posts… but it may yet! 😉

1. Paint at least 2 rooms this year.

Got some sample paint (I have some concerns about how true it is to color given the aptitude of the paint mixer… but that’s another story…). Put sample paint on the walls. Been staring at for a couple weeks…

Probably going for it.

I also settled on colors for the upstairs halls, and upstairs guest room!

2. Start doing yoga regularly.

Will start soon! Have a friend to go with, just need to pick a day.

3. Write 1 letter of encouragement every month.

Yup owe 5 now…

4. Make sushi at home.

No sushi at home this month.

5. Organize my closet- lose the things I don’t wear, get new things I can and will wear.

Couple new things added, couple things removed.

But mostly I spent a lot of time trying to figure out where stuff was…. ‘Cause apparently if you tend to operate on auto in the morning, moving ALL your clothes to new locations at once can cause confusion… So shortly I will go back to organizing, when I find everything again!

6. Make time for fun/hobbies. Find new ones I like.

I did a lot of tinkering this month. Lots of organizing, and some spring cleaning. That occupied most of my free time!

Oh and going to the ocean! We did that a couple times… 🙂

This Year’s Goals – 4 of 12

So I made a list of things I’d like to do or get done this year. I’m determined to not be doing all of them in December of this year… But instead spread them out over the year.

Wow that month went by fast! I have not written a single post… It actually makes me sad too…

Good news is I’m in the process of making some changes to allow me more time to do the things I want. I guess you have to get too busy first to see what the limit is? Either way, I’m not a fan. So making steps to cut back, and looking forward to next month!!

1. Paint at least 2 rooms this year.

Spring is here!! Next trip to the hardware store may include paint, or at least paint chips! (I have a bunch already) I’ve been thinking about what colors I want where, so hopefully the selection process will be quick. So far on the list- green, gray, yellow, and blue. Sounds lovely doesn’t it.

When you paint, do you get a sample or just go by the chip?? I’ve always done chips, considering doing a couple samples this time!

2. Start doing yoga regularly.

No progress.

3. Write 1 letter of encouragement every month.

Yup owe 4 now…

4. Make sushi at home.

We didn’t make any more sushi this month. It was really a crazy month. It’s definitely on the agenda soon!

5. Organize my closet- lose the things I don’t wear, get new things I can and will wear.

This is really where most of my free time went this month! And I’m making progress 🙂

I’ve gotten rid of a lot of clothes, all of which were taking up space, and haven’t missed any yet. My PB has even joined the effort!! So together we decided a goal, looked at what we like and dislike about our clothing and our closet, and now have a plan! We have a cool closet organizer (*affiliate link), so we are actually able (and going to) rearrange to make things easier to get to.

I’m hoping next month to finish the majority of rearranging and do a big reveal! I’m really thrilled with how it’s coming!!

6. Make time for fun/hobbies. Find new ones I like.

Worked WAY too much this month…

No crocheting done.

Though I got a little crafting in, related to closet project (reveal coming soon!). And spent a day organizing digital family photos!  Needs to be done…
